Go Firebirds!

May 29 2013

I gave my support to Chaparral High School's annual golf tournament by donating A Work Of Heart Art to be auctioned off. The money raised in the auction will go to the parent and teacher association which provide students necessary supplies and programs to foster their education that is not covered by government funds.

Passport Adventure

May 29 2013

Each year Alice Birney Elementary hosts a Passport Adventure Silent Auction to provide students with the programs needed to keep children engaged in the learning process. They have a great IB program that fosters active learning in students but need additional funding to allow for fun and exciting events. This year one of my pieces was auctioned off to raise money to help sustain such an amazing program. Contributing to this event was a great pleasure.

For the annual Beach Ball event hosted by Phoenix Children's Hospital, I was commissioned to create 7 wooden sculptures that can be seen in the sculpture section of my collections. These pieces vary from large wood and mosaic floor sculptures to acrylic and wood 3-D wall sculptures. Several sculpture were embellished with mosaic using beautiful glass pieces. The proceeds collected from the auction of my work provided needed funds to help support the opening of Phoenix Children's Hospital's Heart Center which provides patient care for children and teens with heart problems. They will use this money to offer programs and services, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and provide the infrastructure needed for additional research. It was a great event and I am honored to be a supporting part of this organization.

Sedona was beautiful. Hiking with my sister girlfriend and amazing artist friend LauRha is always an inspiring time. We attended the art show at Goldenstein Gallery, voted the best gallery in Sedona many years in a row. My HeArtwork made it into the show last night and hopefully new ones will be coming up soon. www.goldensteinart.com
