Governor's Award

Feb 24 2015

Jenna Raskin is pleased to announce her nomination for the 34th annual Arizona Governor's Art Awards. She is one of 15 individuals nominated throughout the state because of her statewide impact on the art community. The winners of the awards will be determined by an independent panel and announced on March 24th. Jenna is honored to be nominated and recognized for her hard work.
brand new pieces created by Jenna Raskin Morienes with the same peace and love emphasis that inspired her past heart paintings. These stand-alone sculptures are made from thickly cut acrylic flame polished to a glass like finish. While playing with different painting mediums, Jenna found enamel provides a complementary gloss finish as well as bright colors. It allows her to create fun and colorful shapes that are truly pleasing to the eyes and are similar to her past works. These can be ordered from her Esty account under the store name JRHeArtworks. The other style of acrylic heart plays on Jenna’s love of expressing oneself through words artistically displayed. The words are printed out in reverse and in various fonts, giving emphasis to some over others, allowing for a completely customizable piece. Your special words can be displayed in a unique way to give to someone as an impressive gift or award.
Jenna Raskin was just awarded the Phoenix Center for the Arts, Mayor's Art Award 2014 for Visual Arts.  "Many talented artist were nominated and I am truly honored to have won. I am so grateful and inspired to keep creating exciting new work, whether it be paintings, mosaics, sculpture or mix media . Thank you to everyone who has continuously supported me as an artist and to the Phoenix Center for the Arts for selecting me as the winner for 2014".

Alzheimer's Art

May 29 2013

Several pieces of my HeArt Art were recently added to the exhibition put on by The Alzheimer's Foundation. This organization donates all the proceeds from contributing artists to Alzheimer's research.

Artist in Residence

May 29 2013

The Hermosa Inn provides events of arts and culture at their Last Drop Bar hosting a multitude of artists. I was invited as their "Artist in Residence" where I was able to talk about my work and how I got to this point. It was great to be able to actually interact with the community and hear the comments and answer questions about my art in such a beautiful and intimate setting.

Cortney's Foundation is an inspiring non-profit that supports young adults with special needs by giving them the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for inclusion in the community. They sustain the programs and facilities that give these therapeutic developments to those in the community whose needs are not normally met. I am able to contribute to this great cause by providing work of heart art to be auctioned off at their fundraising events. The monies collected go directly to those in need.
